Graham watched with interest more than amusement as she poured out and mixed his coffee just as Ruby always had. Despite the fringe awareness of the woman, as he had been aware of all who had lived and worked in Storybrooke within his jurisdiction as the Sheriff, he realized that he knew little of what she had been up to beyond what had always been on display. Her flirtations and appeal had been obvious to everyone around her, and he remembered many comments over the years of wanting to get out of the small town and finally get to live her own life. Free from her Granny's restrictions and harsh opinions.

"Would you have any interest in going to that dinner with me?"

The words spilled out of him before he could so much as rehearse them in his head to be sure he wasn't about to offend her by acting more on what his memories called for than what their relationship actually was. Or even of considering whether it was right to follow the desire to be with her despite the fact that she did not remember who he really was. "If you'd rather, we could make it just a friendly thing. Whatever you'd want."
